Principal’s Message
It is hard to believe September is over and the school year is 1/10th finished. The beginning of fall has seen wonderful weather, most days, routines getting established and learning well on its way.
We have welcomed new staff, had a morning of learning with Mr. Pictou and are going into October with lots to be excited, and thankful for.
In the month of October we will be going to Shubenacadie Wildlife Park to see and learn about the animals who call this establishment home because they are not ready to be returned to their natural habitats. This field trip will launch our first writing cycle and tie in our Science curriculum. In Life Sciences, Primaries will learn about living things, grade 1 will learn about the needs of living things, grade 2 will learn about animals and growth, grade 3 will learn about plants and grade 4 will learn about habitats.
Also in the month of October we will be visiting Blake’s Pumpkin Jungle. This will be near the end of October so more information will come.
If you are missing clothing items, please go to our Facebook page. There you will find photos from the Great Village Boutique. If you see an item that belongs in your house, please message us through Facebook and we will make sure the item makes it into your child’s bag.
Thank you for your ongoing support. Reach out anytime.
October is going to be outstanding!
